About the course

The SQL Essentials training course will teach you how to write SQL (Structured Query Language) from the ground up. This course will walk you through creating SQL using Microsoft's SQL Server Management Studio in an easy-to-follow manner. SQL is a language that allows you to access, sort, filter, group, aggregate, and compute data from a SQL Server database. This course is for those who wish to learn how to query data from a relational database and alter the results (Insert, update, and delete records).

Although we will be using SQL Server to query data throughout this course, SQL is a general-purpose language that can be readily converted to other RDBMS (relational database management systems) such as MySQL, IBM DB2, PostgreSQL, Oracle, and Ingres.
